The Afterschool Centre is the manifestation of a long cherished dream; and is therefore a serious endeavor to enthuse appreciation of the English language amongst youngsters through a process of ‘learning with fun’.

Since English today is regarded as a ‘global lingua franca’, it has become rather imperative to train a child, right from his formative years, to have a sound grasp over the wonders of this language. The courses have been therefore designed to develop and hone every individual student’s communicative English skill, based on his/her individual capacity.

Traditional methods of teaching English in schools have been a subject of debate now, and many are of the opinion that it needs to be revamped. Grammar, for eg., has always been a tedious subject for most students and is hardly a delightful session that it ought to be. The level of understanding and the assimilation of the nuances of the language differ from student to student Again, Spoken English is also another aspect of English communication today, the training of which is independent of and goes beyond the regular classroom concept of the English subject.

Therefore, at The Afterschool Centre, we have tried our best to provide the right stimulation to the students to explore the English Language – by providing a learning environment with carefully designed activities that allows them to exercise and develop their English communication skills. Our Workshops, and the different range of integrated Courses that we undertake, are designed for varied age-groups which encourage them to develop excellent communication skills at their own pace and help them ease into new settings. The students are given the platform to learn in a controlled environment along with Sensory and Artistic education that acts as a stimulus for their overall development.

Incorporated with these specially-designed English Courses, we also train the students to face the world with a positive bent of mind through various Life-skills and Soft-skills programs, which will undoubtedly help build their self-confidence and put them in a good stead to face the competitive global scenario in their later years. At The Afterschool Centre, we feel that children and youth should have the opportunity to enjoy a safe, healthy childhood for as long as possible and should not be rushed into adulthood. By offering enriching, healthy alternatives in a safe and supervised haven, we best assure that success is within reach of every young person who walks through our doors, with all members on track with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.

 We also have an extensive Library, especially to inculcate the habit of reading amongst today’s electronically-influenced generation.
